Today another quirky, comical EV hit the roads. But do we need them to help publicise how different regular Evs are to regular gas cars?

The Smart ED is reportedly coming to the UK in 2012 as a fully electric car you can buy or rent without robbing the bank. And with batteries from the famous Tesla Roadster inside it isn’t this little pocket rocket a safe bet for future EV owners?

Ewart Energy has released a better video detailing their 70 mph Prius EV only mod.

UK based electrical retailer giant Comet have just launched a trial electric vehicle ‘Plug & Go’ charging point scheme at their Croydon superstore. If successful the scheme will be rolled out at all of Comet’s 250 stores nationwide.
Comet aren’t new to the electric car scheme. Back in the 1980s they sold Sir Cilve Sinclair’s famous C5 electric trike, and have hinted they may sell electric cars again.

Chris Ewart of EwartEnergy.com has released details of a new Prius software system which allows a Plug in Prius to be operated at up to 70 mph in all electric mode!
