This month’s compeition winner is…

In the merry month of May www.aminorjourney.com has had a great prize-draw giveaway for some lucky twitter follower to be given a copy of the equally merry adventures of Mr. Gavin Shoebridge, AKA the man from KiwiEv.com

The Kiwi EV was a great car which inspired many to build an EV.

Gav’s fantastic DVD, chronicling the work he did to convert a Mitsubishi Tredia to fully electric power is an entertaining and educational romp through the ins and outs of building an EV. Although the Tredia succumbed to the horrors of tin-worm (that’s rust) the DVD of the adventures of the KiwiEV live on.
Artist Teresa Bavington, from Ipswich, UK, wins a copy of Gav’s DVD, which will be winging it’s way to her shortly. Hopefully Gav’s EV shenanigans will inspire her to create her own EV masterpiece.
Congratulations, Teresa!
For those of you who aren’t Teresa you will be pleased to know that you can buy your very own copy of Gav’s masterpiece at the KiwiEV website. It only costs $15US including shipping anywhere in the world, so it’s a real bargain! Get your copy here.
If you didn’t win this month, don’t worry. Continue following at twitter and you’re automatically entitled to be entered for next month’s prize draw!
The prize for next month is the beautiful and entrancing story of Electric Dreams: One Unlikely Team of Kids and the Race to Build the Car of the Future., by Caroline Ketterwell.
The story, based on true-life events, describes how a team of students from a deprived neighbourhood in North Carolina defeat the odds and the NASCAR fueled petrol-head mentality of peers and parents alike to convert a beaten-up Ford Escort into an electric car capable of beating every other student converted car out there.
Sadly, new copies are hard to come by, but the lucky winner of June’s competition will receive a second-hand copy of this book to add to their EV library. So what are you waiting for? Click on that “Follow” link!
